Effective August 20, 2026
This policy explains how RCP Inc, a South Dakota corporation doing business as BlackHills.biz (“we,” “us”), handles information collected through blackhills.biz and in the course of providing our services.
1. Who this applies to
This site and our services are offered only to businesses and residents in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
2. What we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and a password. We also collect the business details you give us so we can write about your business — services, locations, hours, brand notes, and similar.
Payment information. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. We keep records of what you were charged, when, and whether payment succeeded.
Client account credentials. To publish on your behalf, you may give us login credentials or authorize a connection to your website, blog platform, or social media accounts. See Section 4.
Usage and analytics information. We use analytics tools, which may include Google Analytics and similar third-party services, plus cookies and comparable technologies. These collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and time spent. We may also use advertising or conversion tracking pixels.
Communications. Emails, form submissions, texts, and call records when you contact us.
3. How we use it
- Provide, publish, and report on the content services you bought
- Process payments and maintain billing records
- Communicate about your account, orders, and support requests
- Send occasional marketing about our own services (you can opt out any time)
- Measure and improve site and campaign performance
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
4. Client account credentials — special handling
When you give us credentials or authorize access to your website or social media accounts:
- We use that access only to publish, schedule, and report on content for you.
- We limit access to personnel who need it.
- We prefer delegated or role-based access (such as Facebook Business Manager roles or platform OAuth connections) over shared passwords, and we will use that method where the platform offers it.
- We store credentials in a password manager, not in email, spreadsheets, or plain text.
- You may revoke our access at any time by changing the password or removing our role. Tell us when you do, so we do not keep publishing against a dead connection.
- On termination, we remove stored credentials within 30 days of your written request.
No method of storage is perfectly secure. Enable two-factor authentication on your own accounts.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf — payment processor, hosting, email, analytics, scheduling and publishing tools, AI content tools.
- Publishing platforms — necessarily, when we post your content to your accounts.
- Legal recipients — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
- A successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
6. Cookies
We use cookies for login sessions, site preferences, and analytics. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking them may break login and other site functions. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal; we do not currently respond to it.
7. Retention
We keep account and content records for as long as your account is active and afterward as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes — generally seven years for financial records. Credentials are handled per Section 4.
8. Your choices
- Access and correction. Email us to see or fix the account information we hold.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your account information. We may keep what we need for legal, tax, and dispute purposes.
- Marketing opt-out. Unsubscribe in any marketing email or email us.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including password-manager storage for credentials and access limited to personnel who need it. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-party sites
Our site and the content we publish may link to sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the last revision. Material changes will be posted here, and we will email account holders.
